Malaysia play Hong Kong in the 3rd match of the ICC T20 World Cup Sub Regional Asia Qualifier B on Thursday 8 October 2026, 2pm Malaysia time (MYT) at the Selangor Turf Club, Kuala Lumpur.
It is Malaysia's opening game of a home qualifier in which six teams play each other once over seven days.

On 24 September at Korogi Sports Park, Nisshin, Hong Kong chose to bat and were held to 81 for 9 in 20 overs, with Pavandeep Singh taking 3 for 11 and Muhammad Amir 3 for 12. Malaysia reached 84 for 2 in 12 overs — Muhamad Syahadat 36, Virandeep Singh 32 — to win by eight wickets with 48 balls to spare (scorecard).
Malaysia play again the next afternoon, against Saudi Arabia at Bayuemas Oval.
Squads for this qualifier have not been published in our data feed yet, so this preview does not name a starting eleven.
Two other matches start at 2pm the same afternoon: China v Maldives at Bayuemas Oval and Saudi Arabia v Singapore at the YSD-UKM Cricket Oval in Bangi.
