BK8 Malaysia Bookmaker Review

Although it’s a local bookmaker for Filipino bettors, BK8 is just as popular among Malay punters. The betting site launched back in 2014 and, over the years, has improved on its features. If you’re into sports betting, it’s one of the best choices out there.

This review will go over every detail to help you understand why BK8 is a great option for wagering on sports. We’ll check out the sports, bonuses, payment methods, usability of the website, and much more.

Credibility and Trustworthiness

It goes without that BK8 is a popular bookmaker choice among Asian players. But how do you know it’s safe and trusted? We’ll give you good reasons for that. But before we do that, here’s a quick look at BK8 as a sports betting site:

Is BK8 Legal?

Seeing as how online betting is illegal in Malaysia, you might be worried whether BK8 is legal in Malaysia or not. Luckily, since it’s an offshore bookmaker operating with a Curaçao license, it’s technically not breaking any laws. The headquarters are located at 9 Abraham De Veerstraat Willemstad, Curaçao, which is why it doesn’t fall under Malaysian laws.

Is BK8 Secure and Safe?

Now that we’ve addressed the legality of the bookmaker, let’s talk about its safety and security measures. To ensure no sensitive information falls into the wrong hands, BK8 uses SSL encryption and HTTPS. Besides this, third-party auditors such as BMM Testlabs and iTechLabs test the games and their fairness.

You’ll also be interested to know that BK8 is the official partner of Burnley F.C., But that’s not all. The bookmaker has also managed to sign Manny Pacquiao as the brand ambassador. When you know these facts, it makes sense why the site averages around 70,000 users each month.

Sports Betting on BK8: The Malaysian Betting Experience

The main reason why BK8 comes up in the conversation for top bookmakers in Malaysia is because of the sports betting experience that you can enjoy. There are over 30 different sports to choose from, and over 1,000 events are listed every week.

You get the most popular markets for each of these events, which come with competitive odds. Since the betting margin is lower than other betting sites, combined with the odds, you can expect a decent payout from BK8.

If you want to place pre-match bets, there are no restrictions regarding the choice of sport. Speaking of pre-match bets, here are the games you can stake money on:

Live Betting on BK8

Besides wagering money ahead of time, you can do it in real time, thanks to live betting. While you’ll get fewer in-play markets for betting, their excitement makes up for the lack of options. Football, badminton, and basketball are among the most popular sports for live betting.

BK8’s interface has been designed to ensure players can view the changes in the live odds without any delays. Some games also come with live-streaming features, so you can watch them on the same page. These things allow a Malaysian punter to place the most accurate bet possible.

And with the help of early cashout, you can make sure you’re not losing money on a losing team if you can withdraw the bet on time.

BK8 Bookmaker Experience: What to Expect?

BK8 is a top betting website with some interesting casino games for gamers. You will find many different themed slots with unique mechanics.

The site also has a live casino section that allows players to play common table games like poker, blackjack, baccarat, and many more with a live dealer present. Apart from that, BK8 has crash games, lotto, and fishing slots. These games are perfect if you want to take a break from betting.

BK8 Mobile App

You can take your gambling experience to the next level with BK8’s mobile apps for both Android and iOS devices. These applications give you access to everything that the desktop version does. You do not have to worry about missing out on any of the sports, casino games, and bonuses being offered. These apps allow you to wager on sports or try slots without being glued to a computer screen.

To get the BK8 mobile app, head to the site and get the download links and detailed instructions on setting it up. Once installed on your phone, log in, and the games will be at your fingertips.

If you don't want to use the app for whatever reason, you can still use the website, which works almost as well. The mobile version is compatible with most phone browsers on both Android and iOS devices.

BK8 Odds and Betting Margins

We’ve already mentioned that the odds on BK8 are as good as the ones you’d find on any top bookmaker in Malaysia. While we did mention low betting margins, we didn’t give you any specifics.

Based on our research, we found that the betting margin is around 6.8%. This is near the average margins on other sites. If you need the individual betting margins for the popular games, you can find them in the table below:

Customer Support and Supported Languages

As a Malay punter, if you want to browse the website in the local language you can easily toggle it from the setting on the top right. Besides Malay, you can also change the language to Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, or Tagalog.

This helps out a lot, especially when you’re accessing customer support. Speaking of which, the support is available 24/7 and can be located in the bottom right of the screen.

You can also use Telegram to get help when you’re playing from your phone. However, for the most common questions, we recommend checking out the detailed FAQ section.

Awards and Recognitions

While BK8 has yet to receive any awards, it did manage to be nominated in the EGR Awards 2024. This is an impressive feat as well, and it speaks to the dedication and quality of service of the bookmaker. The latest nominations included Sports Betting Operator and Football Betting Operator, among others.

Usability and User Experience of BK8

Regarding design, BK8 has done an amazing job with the website. It has the right splash of colors without being over the top with the visuals. Everything is neatly organized. The header contains quick links to the important features, allowing you to access everything with just a few clicks.

As you must’ve seen from the registration guide, it’s a simple process. Since all you need to do is provide a few details, you can be done with your account creation in a couple of minutes.

We should also add that we enjoyed the mobile experience on both the app and the mobile version of the website. Everything loaded perfectly with no broken elements. The response time was also quick, which is very important for the overall experience.
